Ethics policy on participants in the editorial process

General considerations on the role of each participant in the editorial process are listed: Editors-in-Chief, Associate Editors, Authors and Reviewers

a) Editors in Chief and Associate Editors

Collaborations are evaluated by Editors in Chief and Associate Editors to address the following issues:

  • That the contributions conform to the themes of the journal, that represent relevant contributions to scientific and technological knowledge and that comply with the indications in the Instructions for Authors.
  • The selection of manuscripts for submission for review is based solely on the academic and scientific merits of each text.

b) Authors and reviewers

  • If the authors suggest reviewers, they should not be members of the authors' research or work network, to reduce the possibility of collusion and unethical review.

Conflict of interest on all sides

During the double-blind opinion process, if the elected reviewers consider that they are not qualified for the requested evaluation, they must report this situation to the editor of the journal as soon as possible. Likewise, if any of the reviewers notices the existence of a conflict of interest with the evaluated authors, they must renounce the evaluation and communicate, as soon as possible, this situation.

This contributes to the objective that the dictators carry out their work according to academic criteria that privilege originality, relevance, theoretical and methodological foundations and the quality of documentary evidence.
