Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- Are tables, photos and graphics included in separate files and and bundled in a single ZIP file? Are the photos and graphics in .jpg or .tif format with a minimun resolution of 1200 pixels ?. Are the tables in Excel? and Are the images of their own creation or have a creative commons license (free of royalties)?
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements summarized in the Guidelines of the author .
- Attach AUTOGRAPH SIGNED Originality letter in final order of appearance of the authors specifying that the submission has not been previously published or submitted for consideration by any other journal (or an explanation has been provided in the Comments to the editor). (Originality letter )

- Before submitting your article, Have you already read the Metadata and Profile page to correctly fill the requested data in both Spanish and English languages.
- By submitting your work to Epistemus, you Accept the style correction changes made by our collaborators, which will be notified for your knowledge and validation.
- You agree that if any item on this list is not met, it may be immediately rejected in the preliminary round.
- You agree that you will be aware of all communication that the magazine makes and will respond within the established deadlines and if the non-communication reaches 4 weeks, your work will be rejected.
- You accept that if the level of similarity obtained in Ithenticate exceeds 10% of the work, it will be rejected immediately, regardless of the reference to your own work (Self-Plagiarism).
Research
It includes results of research projects and requires showing the methodology of the case.
The structure must contain::
a. Introduction
b. Objective
c. Problem Statement
d. Work method
e. Results
f. Discussion
g. Conclusions
h. Extension of at least 3000 words and a maximum of 5000 words of content. Content being understood as the body of the article (not counting the cover, abstract and reference sections).
i. A maximum of 5 Authors.
j. At least 10 references and 50% of them from a maximum of 5 years ago.
From the academy
Includes topics related to academic work, essays, reviews, problem development, topics of academic life and their relationship with the environment.
a. Introduction
b. Developing
c. Conclusions
d. Length of at least 2,500 words and a maximum of 4,000 words of content. Content being understood as the body of the article (not counting the cover, abstract and reference sections).
e. There must be a maximum of 4 authors.
f. At least 50% of the references must be from the last 5 years; They must be a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 50 references.
Science and Technology Policies
It includes topics that have to do with the analysis of policies in science and technology, the relationship between research and development, innovation and public policies.
Science Technology and Society
It is about promoting a scientific, technological, health and society culture, addressing various specific topics that invite reflection, and / or analysis to understand knowledge.

The magazine acquires the patrimonial rights of the articles only for diffusion without any purpose of profit, without diminishing the own rights of authorship.
The authors are the legitimate owners of the intellectual property rights of their respective articles, and in such quality, by sending their texts they express their desire to collaborate with the Epistemus Magazine, published biannually by the University of Sonora.
Therefore, freely, voluntarily and free of charge, once accepted the article for publication, they give their rights to the University of Sonora for the University of Sonora to edit, publish, distribute and make available through intranets, Internet or CD said work, without any limitation of form or time, as long as it is non-profit and with the express obligation to respect and mention the credit that corresponds to the authors in any use that is made of it.
It is understood that this authorization is not an assignment or transmission of any of your economic rights in favor of the said institution.
