GESTIÓN DE RIESGOS UNA MEDIDA PARA LA PREVENCIÓN DE PÉRDIDAS

En los últimos años hemos sido testigos de innumerables catástrofes y siniestros que han producido gran cantidad de pérdidas humanas e incalculables daños ecológicos y materiales. Sucesos tan recientes y cercanos como el incendio de la guardería ABC en la ciudad de Hermosillo, Sonora, que causó la muerte a 49 niños, nos hacen conscientes de que el riesgo es algo real que continuamente está amenazando toda actividad humana. La gerencia de riesgos es la única arma de que disponemos para luchar contra ellos. En este artículo veremos qué es y en qué consiste la Gestión de Riesgos, cuáles son sus últimas tendencias de estandarización y con qué medios y recursos debemos contar para poder llevarla a cabo de una manera eficaz en cualquier tipo de empresa, llegando a convertir el propio riesgo en una fuente de generación de ventajas competitivas.
