Applications with augmented reality create user experiences. The objective of this qualitative research was to develop a mobile application of a three-dimensional model with augmented reality for the tourist promotion of the Mayan culture, measuring good development practices through standards before the final product. The application is based on the creation of three-dimensional models with augmented reality of the Mayan monumental structures Chontales VI, VII, and VIII, of the Archaeological Zone of Comalcalco, Tabasco in Mexico. The methodological process began with the photographic and historical exploratory survey, for the conversion of three-dimensional pieces, digital restoration techniques were applied to evaluate the application through the ISO / IEC 25000 SQuaRE standard. The quality evaluation used established techniques when testing the experimental prototype, through statistical methods, an analysis of percentage data was developed to understand the results of the tests.
