Urban network analysis of the Historic Center of Hermosillo Sonora Mexico

Abstract

This article presents a study on the morphology of the city through an analysis of its urban network, this is done with an open source tool called Urban Network Analysis (UNA) for ArcGIS. UNA calculates three types of centrality measures in urban networks: scope, intermediation and proximity, scope analysis, captures how many surrounding buildings each building reaches within a given search radius, intermediation analysis counts the number of potential pedestrians each building, and the proximity analysis that indicates how contiguous a building is to all other surrounding buildings within a given distance threshold. The objective of this article is to analyze the public space of the Historic Center of Hermosillo as a basis for proposing an urban network, observing the behavior of urban morphology with the population density of the field of study.

He has a PhD in Management and Urban and Architectural Assessment from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. He is a full-time research professor and has more than 10 years of academic and research experience, as well as in academic and administrative management at the University of Sonora. Cultivate the line of research Sustainable Management of Urban Services, and Urban Assessment.
He has diverse publications in national and international indexed circulation magazines. He has developed research projects related to urban problems and water body management, has participation in national and international conferences with presentation of papers.

Arturo Ojeda de la Cruz. He has a doctorate in Urban Affairs from the Autonomous University of Nuevo León. He is a full-time research professor in the Department of Civil and Mining Engineering, Engineering Division at the University of Sonora. He is the leader of the Urban Management academic body consolidation level recognized by the Ministry of Public Education. He is a member of the National System of Researchers candidate level of Conacyt. His current lines of research are sustainable management of urban services and urban assessment. Quintana Pacheco Jesus. He is a doctor in management and urban and architectural assessment by the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. He is currently a professor in the Department of Civil and Mining Engineering, Engineering Division of the University of Sonora. PhD Jose Refugio Silvestre Ortiz, Unison

Doctorate in Urban and Architectural Management and Valuation from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, Spain, Master in Economic and Financial Engineering from LaSalle University, Mexico and Specialist in Valuation of Real Estate and Businesses in March from the University of Zacatecas, Mexico.

With extensive teaching experience in undergraduate, specialty and master's courses, mainly in the areas of applied statistics, planning, operations research, economic engineering and economic evaluation of projects, as well as real estate valuation for income capitalization.

At the University of Sonora, he has participated in several important academic projects, such as the process of accreditation of the Civil Engineering program in 2004, at the collaborator level; It has also participated in the modifications to the Civil Engineering Study Plan, and also in the creation of the postgraduate program in Civil Engineering.
